Highlander was founded in the 1980s, when exploring the outdoors was seen as an expensive pursuit. We thought otherwise – that enjoying the challenges and beauty of the outdoors should be available to everyone.
Over the years, this ethos has been our North Star as we continually strive to create clothing and equipment that helps everyone to explore their world, their way. 35 years later, this ever-growing passion, and our commitment to producing gear that helps people look good, feel good, and stay safe, has helped Highlander become the brand that it is today.
PASSIONATE
ABOUT THE OUTDOORS
SINCE 1985FOUNDATIONS
One of our key missions is to make it easy and enjoyable to do business with us, and this is something we will always strive towards.
Our founder, Bahram Golzari, has always had a keen love of exploring the mountains of Scotland, which he and his family still have to this day. All the staff have a deep and enduring love for the outdoors, which we pursue in our own ways – whether that is racing downhill through forests on a mountain bike, hiking out to a secluded glen to wild camp or taking to the seas and rivers of Scotland to surf, swim and paddle
THE TEAM...
We are a company created by outdoor enthusiasts, for outdoor enthusiasts.
We’ve been developing and challenging our products among Scotland’s mountains since 1985. At the heart of that is a deep passion for creating outdoor gear with embedded design and reliability to tackle our ever-changing climate. Highlander empowers every free-spirited adventurer to explore their world, their way.
THE FUTURE...
“As son of the founder, in a 2nd generation family business that was created out of a love for the Outdoors, my message to you is that building relationships and engaging in new ones are at the heart of our ethos at Highlander. One of our key missions is to make it easy and enjoyable for everybody to get outdoors by designing and providing performance outdoor gear at great value, and this is something we will always strive towards.”– Ramin Golzari, Director
ADVENTURE
IS IN OUR DNA
MEET THE TEAM
