The mat is a useful additional thermal layer for under my sleeping pad and sleeping bag. It is also a handy mat if needed as a sit mat or to stretch out on the ground.

Haven’t used this yet and my plan is to carry it on a long distance trail in a few weeks. I got it as it’s light and will improve the R value of my sleeping pad and give it some protection. I was pleasantly surprised that it’s actually thicker than I thought it would be.

This product is great I use it as ground protection & additional insulation under my main inflatable camping mat for wild camping. It’s lightweight, packs pretty small and has a useful elastic strap. Would recommend.

The light weight is great and the reflective surface seems to reflect back my body heat through my mattress. The silver surface is extremely slippery for my mattress so you need to pitch on perfectly level ground. The black edging is coming away from the material but shouldn't affect the mat in general.
