High-performance wash-in waterproofer designed for breathable waterproof clothing. Restores water repellency while maintaining breathability.

When should I use it?

If rain is no longer beading on the surface of your jacket and the outer fabric is beginning to absorb water, your gear may be "wetting out".

Sometimes a proper clean with Tech Wash is enough to revive the existing DWR. For older or heavily used garments, follow the clean with TX.Direct to restore water repellency.

How to use

Step 1: Clean with Tech Wash

1. Remove detergent build-up from your washing machine dispenser.
2. Add a maximum of two garments.
3. Use 100ml in soft-water areas or 150ml in medium/hard-water areas.
4. Wash on a 30°C synthetic cycle with a slow spin.

Step 2: Reproof with TX.Direct

Do not dry your garment after the Tech Wash cycle.

1. Place a maximum of two clean garments in the washing machine.
2. Add 100ml of TX.Direct per garment.
3. Wash on a 30°C synthetic cycle with a slow spin.
4. Air dry, or tumble dry on low if permitted by the garment care label.

Important: Do not use conventional laundry detergent when cleaning or waterproofing technical waterproof clothing with Nikwax.

Keep your waterproofs performing for longer

Waterproof clothing works hardest when the outer fabric continues to repel water. Dirt and conventional detergent residues can reduce that performance, while prolonged use gradually wears down the garment's DWR treatment.

Regular cleaning with Tech Wash and reproofing with TX.Direct when required helps keep your kit performing properly, so you stay drier and more comfortable when the weather turns.
