How to Inflate Your Highlander Kip Mat

1. Remove the mat from its stuff sack, unroll it and place it on a clean, flat surface.
2. Open the first layer of the valve only. This is the one-way inflation valve that allows air to enter without escaping.
3. Leave the mat lying flat while the foam expands and draws in air automatically.
4. Once fully expanded, add a few breaths or use an air pump to add air through the valve if you prefer a firmer sleeping surface. Do not overinflate.
5. Close the valve securely before using the mat.

First use: The compressed foam may take longer to expand when the mat is new or has been stored rolled up. Leave the valve open until the mat reaches its full 7.5cm thickness.

To Deflate

1. Open the second layer of the valve to release the air.
2. Starting at the end opposite the valve, roll the mat tightly towards the open valve.
3. Once the air has been expelled, close the valve and place the rolled mat in its stuff sack.

Always check the ground for sharp objects before laying out the mat.
