When ordinary daypacks stop being enough
Big mountain days mean more kit. Extra layers, waterproofs, food, water and, when conditions demand it, poles, an ice axe or rope.
Vulkan combines 35 litres of usable capacity with dedicated mountain attachment points, flexible external storage and multiple ways into the main compartment, so essential kit can be carried securely without everything disappearing into one large compartment.
That is where the product becomes more interesting than a generic £100 hiking pack. OutdoorsMagic specifically praised its technical details, storage options, durable construction and suitability for bigger mountain days.
Get to kit without unpacking
Access the main compartment from the top or through the side zips, useful when the item you need is halfway down the pack.
Carry technical mountain equipment properly
Dedicated attachment points accommodate trekking poles, ice axes and rope, with additional daisy-chain options for external kit.
Built around the load
Padded shoulder straps, hip belt and load-stabilisation straps help keep the pack controlled when you're carrying more than a lightweight summer day load.
Ready when the weather turns
Ripstop construction provides the durable outer, while the integrated rain cover gives additional protection when prolonged rain arrives. OutdoorsMagic found the pack water-resistant and specifically highlighted the supplied waterproof cover.
